What are quests and how do I complete them?

Quests are team objectives made of levels. They help your event organizer guide teams through a set of challenges in stages, so your team can unlock new challenges as you make progress.

If your event includes quests, you can find them in the app’s Challenges area by opening the Quests tab.

How Quests Work

A quest is made of one or more levels. Each level contains challenges, and each level has a completion requirement.

For example, a level might show five challenges but only require your team to complete three of them. Once your team completes enough required challenges, the next level unlocks and new quest challenges become available.

You do not always need to complete every challenge in a level. The event organizer decides how many challenges are required before your team can move on.

Finding Quests

Open your event in the Thrillify app.
Go to Challenges.
Tap the Quests tab.
Select a quest to view its levels, challenges, and team progress.

If you do not see the Quests tab, your event may not have any visible quests yet. The organizer may also have scheduled quests to unlock later in the event.

Understanding the Quest Screen

When you open a quest, you may see tabs for Levels, Challenges, and Teams.

Levels shows the quest path, your team’s current level, and which levels have been completed.
Challenges shows the quest challenges that are currently available to your team.
Teams shows how other teams are progressing through the quest.

The quest card and quest screen can show progress like Level 2 of 4 or a progress bar. This tells you how far your team has advanced through the quest.

Completing a Level

Open the current level to see its challenges and progress requirement. The level screen shows how many required challenges your team has completed, such as 2/3.

To complete a level:

Choose one of the available challenges in the level.
Complete the challenge normally.
Wait for the submission to sync and count for your team.
Keep completing level challenges until your team reaches the required amount.

After your team completes enough challenges, the next level unlocks. When that happens, the new challenges will appear in the quest and in the challenge list.

Working With Your Team

Quest progress is shared by your team. If one teammate completes a quest challenge and it counts for points, that challenge counts toward the team’s level progress.

This means your team can divide up the work. One teammate might handle a photo challenge while another answers trivia or checks in at a location. Just remember that each challenge can only award points once per team.

Locked and Unlocked Challenges

Some quest challenges are hidden until your team unlocks them. This is normal. Quests are designed to reveal challenges over time instead of showing everything at once.

You may unlock new challenges when:

Your team completes enough challenges in the current quest level
A scheduled quest becomes available
The event organizer manually makes a quest available

Recently unlocked quest challenges may appear near the top of the challenge list so your team can jump into the next objective quickly.

Why Other Teams May Be Ahead

Each team progresses through quests based on its own completed challenges. If another team is ahead, it usually means they completed enough challenges to unlock a later level before your team did.

The Teams tab can help you see which teams are furthest along. In some quests, the app may also show which team completed a level first.

If a Quest or Challenge Is Not Showing

If something looks missing, try these checks:

Make sure you are in the correct event and on the correct team.
Check the Quests tab again; the quest may not be visible in the main challenge list yet.
Pull to refresh or reopen the app if your connection was spotty.
Reconnect to the internet so new event updates and unlocked challenges can sync.
Ask the event organizer whether the quest is scheduled for later or currently disabled.

If your team completed a challenge while offline, it may not count toward quest progress until it syncs successfully.
