How do I create a trivia challenge?
Creating a trivia challenge
Trivia challenges are a great way to test players’ knowledge and add quick, interactive moments to your event. They’re easy to create and fun to play, whether you’re asking pop culture questions or making custom trivia about your team or group.
Follow these steps to create a trivia challenge in Thrillify:
1. Add a new challenge
In the Thrillify Backstage web portal, go to the Challenges tab while editing your Event. Click Add -> New.
You’ll see a form like this:

2. Fill in the challenge details
- Name: Enter the question you want to ask. This will be the main prompt shown to players.
- Description (optional): Add more context or clarification if needed for your own records. Players will not see this in the app.
- Challenge Type: Select Trivia Multiple Choice Challenge.
- Options: Add answer options and check the box next to the correct answers. You can have one or multiple correct answers, but at least one must be selected. A player can only select one answer.
- Points: Set how many points the challenge is worth.
- External ID (optional): Use this field if you’re integrating with external tools or spreadsheets. This field will be automatically filled in when importing challenges or copying an Event template.
- Labels: Add labels to help categorize and find challenges later.
Click Save once you’re done.
