What are organizations and how do they work?
What is an Organization?
In Thrillify, organizations serve as the umbrella for everything you create. They’re the core structure that groups your events, challenges, and collaborators together.
An organization is your workspace in Thrillify. It contains:
- Your events
- Your challenges
- Your collaborators
- Any settings or branding tied to your account
All activity happens inside an organization, ensuring your content stays grouped and easy to manage.
Your Default Organization: “My Organization”
When you first create an account, you’ll be placed into a new organization called “My Organization.”. You will be the only member and owner of this organization. You can rename it at any time from the Thrillify Backstage Dashboard.
Joining Multiple Organizations
You can be a member of multiple organizations.
To switch between organizations, simply select any organization you have been invited to from the dropdown in the top right corner of the Thrillify Backstage Dashboard.
How can I tell what organization I’m viewing?
You can see what organizations you belong to by viewing the organization dropdown in the top right corner of the Thrillify Backstage Dashboard. The currently selected organization will be highlighted.

Organization Collaborators
You can invite others to help manage your organization. Once added, collaborators have full access, including the ability to:
- Create, view, and manage events
- Create, edit, and publish challenges
- View participant activity and analytics
- Invite other collaborators
For more details on how do invite collaborators see How do I invite collaborators to my organization?.
CAUTION
Collaborators have the same permissions as you—make sure you only invite people you trust.
Quick Summary
- Every user starts with a default organization called “My Organization”
